#OpenBlog19 What's wrong with education? by Sue Beckingham
The #OpenBlog19 challenge created by David Hopkins is sparking a series of posts where educators go on to challenge others to write a blog in answer to a given question. Steve Wheeler challenged me to write about 'What's wrong with education'.

What does innovation in teaching look like? by Laura - lauraritchie.com
I love this question. It was suggested as part of David Hopkins‘ #OpenBlog19 initiative and the idea is to choose a topic from a curated google doc and then to write… so I chose this topic. Innovation? What does it look like? By nature the word implies something of newness, and possibly we understand it to have creative elements – creative in terms of new, having created. Innovation in teaching makes me think of an open door...

Who even takes notes anymore … #OpenBlog19 – Technology Enhanced Learning Blog by David Hopkins
From the list of ideas/themes submitted to the #OpenBlog19 Google doc, I thought I’d pick up this idea that was posted – ‘Who even takes notes anymore …?’ In the past I’ve written about the way I’ve changed my habits when note taking in meetings and at events, from Sketchnotes to Threaded-Tweeting. What has ultimately brought about these changes is both personal and professional.

Is sharing caring? #OpenBlog19 by Steve Wheeler
But the main reason for sharing content freely is that I care. I care about the education of people, whatever their age, and I want to share what I know. It doesn't cost me anything, except a little time and effort, to be able to share content globally. It's still quite magical to me, to think that I can be writing this post right now, and in a few minutes, when I press the Publish button, these words have the potential to appear on millions of screens in millions of homes, schools, colleges and universities around the world. It's still a buzz, I can tell you.

Really good read as part of #OpenBlog19, ‘Is sharing, caring?’ by @SteveWheeler

Open writing/blogging challenge #OpenBlog19 – Technology Enhanced Learning Blog by David Hopkins (Don't Waste Your Time - Technology Enhanced Learning Blog)
This morning I had an idea for a ‘pay it forward‘ blogging/writing challenge. The premise is simple…once nominated you will be presented with a title or theme with which you can write about. You can write this on whatever medium you like or prefer to use (blog, LinkedIn, Medium, etc.), use the #OpenBlog19 hashtag

Great idea by @hopkinsdavid to start up an #OpenBlog19 challenge.

“In 1990, I coded up the foundational technologies for the World Wide Web. To celebrate the web’s 30th birthday, will you add to a crowdsourced Twitter timeline of the web’s milestone moments? https://t.co/7sGBdFyE6Q #Web30 #ForTheWeb”

Happy 30th birthday internet! Hard to believe I’ve been around longer than the web!

To celebrate, Tim Berners-Lee has invited everyone to contribute to a timeline of the web’s milestone moments.
